Sennen Cove is a small coastal village in Cornwall, through which the South West Coast Path passes. You can see the lifeboat station and slipway on this live webcam and you can see the breakwater on the left which was built in 1908 and protects the small fishing vessels from the elements.
The volunteers who man the lifeboat are on call 24 hours a day throughout the year, and next to the lifeboat station is the restored Roundhouse which is now used as an art gallery and souvenir shop. Originally this grade 2 listed building used to house a winch for hauling boats up from the beach. This is one of the most iconic buildings in West Cornwall, with its feet almost in the Atlantic Ocean and it was constructed in 1876 to house the huge man powered capstan wheel which was originally open to the elements on the Sennen harbour beach
