Polzeath is approximately 6 miles north west of Wadebridge on the Atlantic coast and has a sandy beach, popular with holiday-makers and surfers.
There is a wide ranging tide here and most of the sand is submerged at high water and sometimes the sea level gets so high it will flood the car park too.
In addition to be great for a family day out and for surfers, often Dolphins can be seen in the bay and the rocky coastline is a great area for the many types of birds that like this kind or countryside including corn buntings and puffins.
