Christmas in Alaska means a lot of native rituals and customs come to full flow during the Christmas season. The Alaskan people have some distinctness in their Christmas feast and decorations.
Christmas in Alaska is celebrated on 25th December just like in other American states. As Alaska is so close to Santa's home, he turns up in his sleigh pulled by Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer for a pre Christmas visit, which of course is of great delight to
the children.
Christmas carols and hymns are sung in family homes and there is a lot of Christmas music everywhere.
As you would expect in Alaska, Christmas is invariably white. The snow covered ground and the sparkling blue sky have their own charm and snowmen are sometimes illuminated adding to the
festive specatacle.
Merry Christmas Everyone.
