Lligwy Bay (Welsh Pronunciation Traeth Lligwy) is situated on the Welsh island of Anglesey.
It lies on the north east of the island and to the north of the village of Moelfre and was the site where the steam clipper Royal Charter was lost to the sea in October 1859. Over 450 people lost their lives when she sank.
