Maidenhead Sailing Club was founded in 1965 and it has a bar which opens Thursday night and Sunday lunchtime and sometimes on a Saturday afternoon too depending on scheduled activities.
A relaxed and freindly club for those who enjoy sailing in the area.
Maidenhead is on the southwestern bank of the River Thames and the sailing club is based on the lake formed by an old gravel pit. The name Maidenhead originated from the riverside area where the first "New wharf" or "Maiden Hythe" was built, as early as Saxon times.
