This live webcam streams through the Camsecure streaming service and views Smeatons Pier, Smeatons Lighthouse and other points of interest in the immediate area as it patrols through its programmed views. These include the famous Godrevy Lighthouse further out to sea and the beach area where the lifeboat is launched from.
Smeatons pier is named after its designer, the civil engineer John Smeaton, who also designed Charlestown harbour and it was built between 1767 to 1770. The Victorians altered the pier to the way it looks today in around 1888 and the pier is still a working pier for the local fishermen too.
