Mablethorpe Beach Webcam - Decommissioned
This one's gone but there are Loads More Here This is an FTP update webcam that refreshes the picture only once every 60 seconds. However it still gives an indication of how the surf is on the beach and this live lincoln webcam is located at the Mablethorpes RNLI station. Mablethorpe is a small seaside town in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire which has been around for many centuries.

In 1883 the first lifeboat station was built in Mablethorpe and this was in operation until the First World War when it had to be temporarily closed due to crew shortages.

In 1998, a bronze medal was awarded to the Helmsman for a service on 12 April, when the Mablethorpe lifeboat rescued the crew of two and saved the fishing vessel Lark.

The lifeboat was launched in a force 7 gale and a heavy swell – extreme conditions for the D class lifeboat they were using. The helmsman had considerable difficulty in negotiating the rough seas in order to reach the fishing boat
