The SD/HD switchable cameras are ideal for use on either standard definition analogue CCTV systems or HD CVI systems. This is useful if you are planning to eventually upgrade to full HD as you can connect these cameras to your standard definition analogue DVR and monitors, switchers etc and they will work perfectly. Later when you devide to upgrade your recording and display equipment to HD you can simply switch the camera to HD mode.
